Narrows Gallery

By LA Guzda

The local art scene continues to flourish. There is a new gallery in Narrowsburg called, Narrows Gallery.

I am honored to be included in the opening exhibit, “Controlled Chaos” along with Courtney Caserta. The gallery is located behind The Tustin Cup on Main Street. To access, you need to cross the street and walk past the gazebo, under the bridge, to the rear of the Main Street buildings. It’s a sweet, beautiful new space with stunning views of the Delaware River.

The show will run through December and into January. The Gallery is open on most weekends. It’s new and staffing is a small challenge at the moment. They are seeking artists who may be interested in partnering in the gallery. Show them some love and support, stop by say hello and enjoy the art.

Also on view in December is the extremely popular Art in Sixes exhibit at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance. New this year is a video contribution – “The Creepy Peep Show” – SIX scenes in SIX minutes. Absurdity abounds when you give in to your inner voyeur. The comedy tribe of Matt Carpenter, Susan Mendoza, Thomas Cambridge, Laurie A. Guzda and R. Scott Porter create performance art in the SIXES to take a humorous look at cults, dating and strange professions.

Wishing you a beautiful holiday filled with love, laughter and hope.
