“BIRTHDAY” LOVE FROM A FORMER FRONT-LINER’S FAMILY

Jamie Collins donated lunch for the Emergency Department in memory of his wife, Cathy Collins, a registered nurse and long-time ER staffer (and nursing school instructor), who would have turned 60 today, April 20th. Cathy lost her life to cancer in 2015. Collins had the lunch brought in from Native, a new restaurant in Honesdale, which is owned by Cathy’s niece, Alex Theobald Johnson, and her husband Caleb. Roasted beet salad, two kinds of soup, bread and maple panna cotta for dessert. Yum! Part of the delivery also went to EMS crews who have a break room at the hospital, near the ambulance entryway. Big thanks to the Collins/Theobald/Johnson families for a sweet gesture during a tough time! Photo: Jamie (right) and Caleb.
