The owners, managers and chefs of Settlers Hospitality took the time this week to make over 500 meals for 125 staff members and their families. Settlers Hospitality has been forced to furlough over 80% of their staff. This meal on Thursday April 2nd created an opportunity for the owners to reconnect with their staff from a socially safe distance.
“When we passed out the meals for everyone today it made me think about how much I miss everybody. Even just a few minutes to catch up with our team, hear how they’re doing and see that people are getting by in one way, shape, or form. It gave us an opportunity to share a meal together, just doing it virtually instead of in person. I really can’t say enough about our management team for helping to come up with the idea, cook together and serve together. Hopefully it meant as much to the people who received the meals as it did for us being able to offer them” Stated Owner/CEO Justin Genzlinger.
